Two men woke up to discover an intruder in their New York home on Monday morning, and according to police, they beat the suspected burglar with a baseball bat and stabbed him.
He allegedly broke into the house around 2:45 a.m. Monday in the St. Albans neighborhood of Queens, New York City. The brothers, ages 16 and 27, then confronted him, according to Fox5.
At least one of the brothers beat him and stabbed. It’s not clear if both of the brothers were involved in the beating and stabbing, police told the Fox affiliate.
No arrests have been made.
Police told CBS that the intruder knocked on the door in the early morning before trying to push the younger brother away to get inside. He fled, came back, and then kicked the door open, said police. The two brothers then fought back, according to the report.
“I’m not going to say about defending their home, but if you’re an intruder coming into someone’s house, especially early in the morning, well, you know,” said neighbor Robert Clarke.
