“I came out and stood with the dog and she’s like, ‘oh look, they put a body in the car’ but it didn’t come out of the house,” neighbor Kim Satchell told CBS New York. “That’s when the EMS guy said go inside, lock your doors, lock your windows so I took heed.”
Police told CBS that the intruder knocked on the door in the early morning before trying to push the younger brother away to get inside. He fled, came back, and then kicked the door open, said police. The two brothers then fought back, according to the report.
“I’m not going to say about defending their home, but if you’re an intruder coming into someone’s house, especially early in the morning, well, you know,” said neighbor Robert Clarke.
