Alyssa Bates and John Webster are expecting their first child, and have been sharing updates in pictures as Alyssa progresses in her pregnancy.
The baby is due on April 10, 2015.
The gender has not yet been revealed, according to the family’s unofficial blog.
However, it did say that it might come soon.
“John and Alyssa are currently 23 weeks pregnant with their first child. There is currently no word on the gender of their child so maybe we will have that for next week!” it said on Friday.
Alyssa, 20, and John, 25, the son of Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, were married over the summer. Alyssa was the third Bates child to get married.
Like their friends the Duggars, the Bates have strict dating rules that include couples never being allowed to be alone together until they’re married.
Six hundred people were at the wedding, including the Duggar brood, reported ABC.
Alyssa was the first of the clan to move away from their home area in East Tennessee.
“Right now I am all excited about getting married, but it’s going to affect me after I move,” Alyssa said at the time.
“It’s sad, it’s really sad,” added younger sister Tori Bates. Mother Kelly Bates said that “it will be an adjustment.”
“We are going to miss her personality, her talent,” she said. “She is a big help to the family. She cooks, she organizes. She will be missed, it will be an adjustment. But thank the Lord for texting. I plan on texting every day.”
Alyssa and John confirmed the pregnancy in November, telling Us Weekly that there are excited.
“We are overwhelmed with excitement to expecting,” the couple said in a statement. “We can’t wait to welcome our precious little baby into the world. Our child is going to be spoiled with so many aunts and uncles.”
Alyssa, John, and the rest of the growing family will appear on television again soon. Though their TLC show was canceled a few years back, they have a new program called Bringing Up Bates that’s set to premiere on UP TV on January 1, 2015.
