New Photos of Amber Heard Show Black Eye and Cut Lip

Amber Heard has released more photos that purportedly to show injuries allegedly caused by husband Johnny Depp.

The photos are said to have been taken after a December 2015 incident in which Heard said she feared for her life in an altercation with Depp, reported The Los Angeles Times.

People magazine published the photos of Heard, 30, and they appear to show her with a black eye and a busted lip. The incident was referenced on Friday during Heard’s court declaration where she was seeking a restraining order against her now-estranged husband. The judge granted her request.

In the court papers, Heard called the December altercation “severe,” saying she “truly feared that my life was in danger.”

On her birthday in April 2016, she claimed that Depp came to her birthday party “inebriated and high” and they started to argue. Then, Depp “grabbed me by the hair and violently shoved me to the floor,” the papers stated.

On May 21, she said the two got into another argument, and she claimed Depp threw his iPhone at her, resulting in a bruise near her right eye. She filed for divorce from Depp on May 23 and made an appearance in court to get a temporary restraining order on May 29. In the May 21 incident, LAPD officers responded to the call, but no police report was filed.

Capt. Don Graham, who oversees the LAPD’s Central Division, told the LA Times that officers spoke to the actress, who told them it was a “verbal dispute only” and responding officers saw no evidence of a crime.

TMZ last week published a photo of Heard with purported bruises on her eye. She was also seen leaving court on Friday with bruises.

“In reality, Amber acted no differently than many victims of domestic violence, who think first of the harm that might come to the abuser, rather than the abuse they have already suffered,” Heard’s lawyers, Samantha F. Spector and Joseph P. Koenig, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Heard has since given a statement to cops with her recollection of the incident on the night of May 21.

Meanwhile, Depp’s lawyer has accused Heard of using the abuse allegations to try to gain an advantage on the actor in divorce proceedings. She is seeking spousal support, but Depp is asking a judge to deny that request.

“Amber is simply a victim of domestic violence, and none of her actions are motivated by money,” Heard’s lawyers wrote. “Amber is a brave and financially independent woman who is showing the courage of her convictions by doing the right thing against Johnny’s relentless army of lawyers and surrogates.”

The two met in 2011 on the set of “The Rum Diary” and were married for 15 months.

The actress reported in a court filing that she has about $10,000 a month in income, but her expenses total nearly $44,000 a month.

Depp is traveling overseas on tour with his band, Hollywood Vampires. His latest film, “Alice Through the Looking Glass” bombed at the box office, earning just over $28.1 million in its opening weekend, according to figures released Sunday.
