New Orleans International Airport: Shooting, ‘Stabbing’ in NOLA Louis Armstrong Facility

A shooting and possible stabbing were reported in the New Orleans International Airport on Friday night, according to reports.

A NOLA CBS affiliate reported that the incident took place in the airport.

The airport also tweeted: “There was a security incident near concourse B of the airport The site has been secured We will release more info as it comes available.”

The FBI and local law enforcement are responding to the scene, according to ABC News.

According to local station Fox-8, there was a possible stabbing.

It says:

Police are investigating a shooting Friday at Louis Armstrong International Airport, according to Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s spokesman Col. John Fortunato.

There are three confirmed victims, according to JPSO spokesman Glen Boyd. There was no word on their conditions.

Airport spokeswoman Michelle Wilcut sent the following via email: “There was a security incident in the area near concourse B of the airport terminal The site has been secured. We will release further information as it comes available.”

The airport exit from Interstate 10 is closed. Travelers should expect flight delays
