New iPad leaked photos: Photos of the purported fifth-generation iPad were leaked to the Internet on Wednesday, showing what appears to be a thinner glass panel.

The photo of the iPad panel published to French blog Nowhereelse.fr--a site responsible for a number of Apple leaks in the past--appears to suggest that it will have a thinner design, much like the iPad Mini.

The French blog says that it has connections in China for the source of the photo.

CNET reported that the upcoming 9.7-inch iPad will have a thinner design after having the same design since the iPad 2, which launched in April 2011.

The Cult of Mac points out, however, that the front panel leaked by Nowhereelse could actually be from a third-party and might not be an Apple component.

However, the site has been accurate in its past leaks, including those for the iPad mini and the iPhone 5 ahead of the release dates.
