A new app apparently makes it possible for people to delete text messages they’ve sent other people from other people’s phones.

The “Privates!” application was developed to be a highly secure messaging app, with primary features being an alert if the recipient tries to screenshot the message and the ability to “unsend” messages if the recipient hasn’t read them yet.

The “unsend” happens after three, 12, and 24 hours, depending on the settings the user selects.

Or they can recall a message at any time if they change their mind about the message that was sent, according to a press release.

The service attempts to prevent people from screenshotting, saying it has stronger security than potential rivals such as Snapchat and Whatsapp.

“I’m very honest about that but it’s better than anything else at maintaining privacy,” founder Dr. Isaac Datikashvili told Metro.

“It’s not impossible but it’s virtually impossible for one person to screen grab or save anything if the security setting is high.”

There’s also a function that captures the recipient’s reaction as they view the message.
