The New Amsterdam Market with a new “Bread Pavilion” opened for the season Sunday at the East River in Lower Manhattan, replacing the Fulton Fish Market, which moved to Hunts Point. According to their website, the New Amsterdam Market features “purveyors who source food directly from farmers and producers whom they trust to be good stewards of our land and waters.” The market is located on South Street between Beekman Street and Peck Slip.
