The Neuse River bridge in North Carolina has re-opened after closing for hours due to icy weather conditions.

The ice led to multiple accidents on the bridge in New Bern.

Craven County Police closed the bridge around 5 a.m. over safety concerns.

The bridge re-opened at approximately 8 a.m., an emergency management official told WCTI.

None of the accidents on the bridge were life-threatening, but there were injuries.

Craven County officials said that despite the bridge re-opening, people should stay home unless they must travel.
