A podcast featuring Neil Gaiman reading an uncommon version of “A Christmas Carol” is available for listening on Christmas.

Gaiman reciting the Charles Dickens’ classic was made available by the New York Public Library and Atria Books via Soundcloud and Amazon.

The recording was made back in 2013 when Gaiman read the tale “as the great author intended, following edits and prompts Dickens wrote in his own hand for his unique readings 150 years ago,” according to the library.

People have had positive feedback for the reading.

“A great way to spend Christmas Eve!” said one.

“Here’s a real treat for the holidays!” said another.
