The NBA trade rumors keep flying, principally about the Kevin Love situation.

It appears that the Cleveland Cavaliers are close to reaching a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The teams have to wait 30 days to make anything official due to league rules pertaining to rookie contracts. Many believe Andrew Wiggins will be part of the trade.

A league source recently told Sheridan Hoops that the Chicago Bulls had tried to snag Love but it looks like the Cavs are going to win out.

The deal is thought to be Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and two first-round picks for Love.

Even if the Bulls or Golden State Warriors win out in the trade, the teams want at least one other team involved to help smooth the way for the trade.

Sources told Sporting News that multiple teams are trying to get involved in the trade, including the Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, and Boston Celtics.

“When a deal like this takes a long time, there are going to be more ants circling the picnic,” one front-office source said.

“This is not likely to be a one-to-one trade.”

The Sixers and Nuggets helped the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic complete the Dwight Howard trade in 2012, getting players in the process.

Love has asked to be traded from the Timberwolves. The 25-year-old only has one year left on his contract.
