Nathan Fillion, whose most memorable role may be Captain Malcolm Reynolds on the cult hit “Firefly,” will be coming to Phoenix Comicon.
The event announced Fillion’s involvement this week.
“Nathan Fillion will be joining us at Phoenix Comicon! Known for his portrayal of Captain Malcolm Reynolds in Firefly and Serenity, Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, and currently starring in ABC’s Castle as Richard Castle,” it said. “Nathan has also appeared as a voice actor in video games including Jade Empire and Halo among many other roles. Nathan is also known for his charitable works including co-founding Kids Need to Read, and for generally being awesome on the internet.”
The event has been announcing people who will be joining it over the last weeks. Another recent announcement is writer and author Chris Claremont, who is best known for his 17-year run on Uncanny X-Men.
In addition to writing for comics, Chris has also created many original works including Sovereign 7, The Black Dragon, Marada the She-Wolf, and Wanderers: The Winter King. “The recipient of numerous Comics Buyer’s Guide Fan Awards and Eagle Awards, Chris is also holds a world record for the best-selling comic book of all time, X-Men #1,” the event said via its Facebook page.

The Phoenix Comicon is set for June 5-8 at the Phoenix Convention Center.
Other previously announced guests include actress Eliza Dushku, “Elfquest” writers Wendy and Richard Pini, and actor Mark Sheppard.
