Nate McLouth beer catch: Baltimore Orioles outfielder Nate McLouth made a running catch on Thursday night against the Toronto Blue Jays but got more than he bargained for: a fan in the stands apparently threw a beer at him.

McLouth made the catch as he was diving into the stands after batter Colby Rasmus sent a foul ball into left-field, reported Fox Sports.

After the catch, McClouth showed the umpire that the ball was in his glove, with some Toronto fans saying that he didn’t hold onto it.

Then someone in the second deck threw what appears to be a beer at McClouth but missed.

“It just kind of startled me for a second,” McLouth told the Baltimore Sun, elaborating on the incident.

“I’m not sure how close it landed. That’s just one person doing something they shouldn’t do. ... I’m not sure what happened. Somebody threw a bottle of something,” he said.
