Natalie Bassingthwaighte has given birth to her first child, a baby girl called Harper.
“Natalie Bassingthwaighte is a mum," her publicist, Mark Byrne, confirmed on Monday night. "Mum and daughter are both perfect,” reported Adelaide Now.
The 34-year old actress, singer, television personality and aspiring author became engaged to fellow band player Cameron McGlinchey in July. They met more than six years ago, when Ms. Bassingthwaighte sang in Rogue Traders, and have been together since 2006.
"Starting a family is one of my biggest goals," Bassingthwaighte said in November, according to the Morning Herald. "I would love that, it would complete everything."
A brief message was posted on Ms. Bassingthwaite’s website on Monday: “A big congratulations to proud new parents Natalie and Cam on the birth of their baby girl, Harper Rain Sinclair McGlinchey!” it said. “Harper was born this afternoon at a private Melbourne hospital weighing 3.47kgs. Both Nat and bubs are reported to be well and healthy.”
