A balloonist discovered the circular design last week. Since then, news of it spread and thousands of people have flocked to the wheat field in Bavaria, southern Germany to check it out.
Many visitors agree the design is beautiful and doubt it was created overnight.
The main circle has a diameter of nearly 250 feet and inside it are three other circular shapes along with diamond cutouts that surround them. Everything is precisely raked.
The owner of the field, farmer Christoph Huttner said he didn’t make the crop ring, but believes students are responsible for creating the design during their summer holiday.
He’s unsure whether or not he’s going to keep it, but doesn’t seem to be too concerned about it.
The circle rests in a field next to a satellite communications station, which may or may not be a coincidence.
For now, the rings are attracting people to the field who continue to talk about the possibilities behind how the crop circle got there.
