Two thieves on a moped were able to steal two smartphones before flying off down the road in the U.K.

Both victims are seen focused on their phone screens. But then, the moped drives down the sidewalk, with one of the passengers grabbing the phone out of a woman’s hands.

Right after that, the thief grabs the phone from a man’s hands as he was smoking as cigarette.

The theft took place in Farrington, London.

CCTV cameras captured the incident earlier this year. However, it was uploaded a few weeks ago.

A police spokesperson told the Daily Star: “At approximately 17:20hrs on February 16, a woman reported that while talking on her mobile phone, two men on a moped appeared and snatched the phone from her hand.

“A few moments later, and further up the street, a man also had his phone taken by two people on a moped.”

Eoin Clarke, director of CCTV Camera Europe, said he shared the footage to warn others.

He told the Evening Standard: “If you look at the clip you can see the moped drive down the hill looking for people on their mobile phones. They swoop around and then they do a double theft on the pavement.

“It’s quite an unusual thing. He nearly knocks a couple of people over and gets away with it. It’s almost like it’s choreographed.”

He added: “This is really for public notice. You walk everywhere and everyone is looking at their phones. People need to watch out for people like this.

“No one likes losing their phone, it’s like losing your right hand.”
