A massive 40-car pileup has taken place just north of Montreal, Quebec, according to reports.
At least 30 people were hospitalized, according to preliminary reports.
The crash took place on Highway 15 near Ste-Adèle in snowy, frigid conditions, the CBC reported.
Local police have said that as many as three dozen were trapped in their vehicles. Firefighters are using the jaws of life to extract people from them.
Highway 15 is closed in both directions.
