Three people were shot outside of the Monroeville Mall near Pittsburgh on Saturday night.
ABC News reported that the Monroeville Police Department confirmed the shooting.
The mall was locked down as a result.
There’s been no word on the condition of those who were injured or the gunman.
According to the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette:
Shots were fired at Monroeville Mall tonight; witnesses said at least one person and as many as three were wounded, that a potential suspect had been taken into custody and that the mall was being evacuated, store by store.
One witness said the shooting occurred either at a children’s play area outside Macy’s or inside the store and that at least one wounded person was found inside Macy’s. There were other reports that two other people were wounded and that gunfire was exchanged.
According to one witness, a male was apprehended in connection with the shooting near the Champ’s sporting goods store in the mall. The man had an earlier encounter with security officers, the witness said.
