The project
This project was part of an entire home renovation. Inspired by their affection for earth tones and driven by their passion for a contemporary space, homeowners Lawk and Meedia came to Euro Kitchens to make their vision of a new kitchen come to life.

The challenge
Although the homeowners loved the idea of a modern look, they were skeptical that they could get a clean contemporary finish with the colour combination they desired.

The solution

Originally, the homeowners did not support the idea of a two-tone kitchen. However they had a change of heart once all the criteria on their kitchen wish list was met. This gorgeous kitchen was created by combining the “Nova Lack” upper cabinets in a high gloss Terra colour with the “Manhattan” flat panel cabinets in the Noce Amador colour. This combination of cabinet styles and colours gave the kitchen a sleek, elegant, and modern look that the homeowners adored.

Trends spotted

Mixing materials: Mixing materials in a space can add interest and personality. In this kitchen, the solid “Nova Lack“ upper cabinets and patterned “Manhattan” cabinets work together perfectly.

Pops of colour: Bright, bold pops of colour are a great way to add a modern feel to a room. This kitchen features a colour palette made up mainly of neutrals. Adding chairs in a beautiful bold green brings the room to life. The best part is, if the homeowners get tired of this colour, the chairs can easily be replaced or re-upholstered in a different colour for a whole new look.

Sophisticated storage: It’s all about the little details! You don’t just want your kitchen to look stylish, it also needs to function well. Details like floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, built-in wine racks, and custom pantry shelving will ensure that the homeowners enjoy time spent in the kitchen—be it cooking, baking, entertaining or just enjoying a nice glass of wine!

The kitchen was designed by Michael de Simone of Euro Kitchens. As a project manager and kitchen designer de Simone has been involved in the industry for more than 10 years. His passion and unrelenting pursuit for client satisfaction drives him to make a homeowner’s space come to life.
