Police and fire officials in Lumberton, Mississippi found a dead skydiver after searching for hours on Sunday.
The death happened after at least five skydivers were blown off course and went missing.
The skydivers jumped out of a plane about a mile away from the city’s airport at about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to local broadcaster WDAM.
The skydivers jumped above Four Mile Road.
Two of the skydivers jumped in a tandem and had an equipment failure, and landed in a nearby wooded area. One was dead. The survivor was taken to Forrest General Hospital with broken bones and a head injury, reported WDAM.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the accident.
