Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach, who won the recent Miss Universe competition, says that Steve Harvey should return as host despite his huge mistake.

Harvey announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner before realizing he'd read the card wrong and switching it to Wurtzbach.

The 26-year-old Filipino laughed about the moment on Good Morning America on Monday before saying Harvey should definitely return as host this year.

“Yeah, why not?” she said. “I think he’s a breath of fresh air. He made us feel very relaxed, the contestants. It makes us show our personalities a little bit more. I think that benefits everybody, especially the viewers.”

She said she saw the card Harvey read off of, and understands how he made the flub.

“The way it was written, it was a little confusing,” she said.

“I understand. It was his first time to judge a pageant, but it’s OK. He’s human. People make mistakes.”

Wurtzbach also said she reached out to Gutierrez to make sure she’s doing okay.
