Milwaukee Strangler Walter Ellis Dies Three Years Into Life Sentence

Milwaukee strangler Walter Ellis died over the weekend just three years into a life sentence.

He was 53.

Ellis was convicted of a string of killings of Milwaukee women.

Officials said he killed seven women from 1986 through 2007.

All of the victims were strangled to death, reported Reuters, prompting the name “Milwaukee North Side Strangler.

Ellis was arrested in 2009 and sentenced in February 2011.
