Michelle Rodriguez paid tribute to Paul Walker in a touching post on social media, in which she promises to continue his work.
“I’m gonna carry this torch for you brother, with a forced smile on my face and I’m gonna open my heart just cause your telling me to,” Rodriguez said via Facebook and Twitter.
Walker passed away after a fiery car crash on Saturday in Valencia, California. He and Rodriguez starred in the “Fast & Furious” movie series together, along with others such as Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewer, and Ludacris.
Rodriguez later shared a photo from Walker’s official page which says that Walker’s family “appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends. They have asked, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul’s charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW). Donations can easily be made through their website.”
Rodriguez also changed her cover photo to show a picture of Paul interacting with children on a work mission.
“When you put good will out there it’s amazing what can be accomplished,” Walker is quoted as saying on the picture.
Other stars have also posted their feelings on the death of Walker.
Jordana Brewster, who played Mia Toretto, Walker’s love interest in the “Fast & Furious” films, said that Walker “was pure light.”
“I cannot believe he is gone,” she said, also via Twitter and Facebook.
“All my strength, love & faith to the Walker family during this heartbreaking time,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson adeed via Twitter. “We find our strength.. in his light. Love you brother.”
Vin Diesel posted a picture of himself and Walker on Instagram and said: “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace.”
Ludacris posted a photo of him, Walker, and others like Vin Diesel, saying “Thankful for the Fast Family.”
“Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart,” Ludacris wrote. “Now Yyu will forever hold a place in all of our hearts @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P.”
Tyrese Gibson also posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Walker.
“My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real,” he said.
“Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don’t understand. My heart hurts it’s broken no one can convince me that this is real….”
Gibson said that he and other friends had just celebrated Walker’s 40th birthday with him.
Walker’s girlfriend Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell is also mourning his death, as well as his daughter, 15-year-old Meadow.
