Michael J. Fox’s son, Sam, recently turned 30, and many have noticed that he bears a strong resemblance to his father.

Fox has been married to actress Tracy Pollan since 1988, and they have several children together.

Despite Sam looking like his actor dad, he hasn’t taken any roles.

“He has yet to follow in Michael’s footsteps with any acting gigs. He did, however, fill in the role of Mr. Golden Globe during the 2013 award ceremony. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association traditionally taps the children of beloved performers to carry trophies to the podium for each category winner as Mr. and Mrs. Golden Globe,” according to Woman’s World.

Recently, Fox and Pollan revealed how they stay in touch with their children.

“Honestly, we travel a lot. We go out to dinner a lot, they do like the shopping a lot,” said Pollan, according to ETOnline.com.

According to Fox, one of the things the family likes to do as a family is dine together, “nearly all the time.”

“They like to eat, a lot. None of them are huge but they like to eat,” Fox said. “They must burn a lot of calories doing something because they eat copious amounts of food.”

Fox and Pollan fell in love after playing a couple on the sitcom “Family Ties” in the 1980s.

“They don’t think we’re funny at all,” Pollan said of her children. “They roll their eyes and think we tell stupid mom and dad jokes.”

“I do tell stupid jokes, but you tell clever jokes,” Fox added. “I tell the same stupid joke over, and over, and over again.”

Parkinson’s Update

In a recent interview, Fox admitted that it’s difficult to stay optimistic as he battles Parkinson’s, a disease he’s had since the early 1990s.
“I feel sometimes I don’t want to be selling people the optimism thing because people have tough lives. Depression is real, and things happen to them that I can’t even comprehend. They make my stuff seem like Band-Aids and skinned knees,” the Canadian actor said, according to Fox News on April 30. “So I don’t want to be saying, ‘Cheer up!’ Some stuff sucks.”

Fox said that the past year, for him, has been quite tough.

“I’m known as a guy who makes lemonade out of lemons, but I was out of the lemonade business: ‘I can’t do this anymore, I can’t,'” Fox said at the Tribeca Film Festival, according to the report.

The 57-year-old said: “But then I realized that I have to take every step one at a time now, and that slows life down. You have more time that way. Every step is a new adventure. I could fall down, not fall down, I could go off this way, go backwards—who knows?”
