The 45-year-old man who died earlier in the week after a car crash on U.S. 41 in Gibsonston, south of Tampa, has been identified as Michael Anthony Dickens.

Police says Dickens was the driver of a 2004 Toyota four-door and that he was speeding before he lost control and crashed through mangroves in the water next to the highway, according to the Tampa Tribune

The vehicle was submerged and state troopers had to send in a dive team to find the driver, because he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

After the dive team couldn’t find the body, it was found through an aerial search.
