Meryl Davis and her on-ice partner Charlie White are nominees for best female/male Olympian at the 2014 ESPYs, which are being broadcast on Wednesday evening.

The show nominates the best in U.S. sports.

Davis faces competition from snowboarders Jamie Anderson and Kaitlyn Farrington--part of a United States sweep of the slopestyle medals--and skiers Maddie Bowman and Mikaela Shiffrin.

White faces competition from snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg and skiers Joss Christensen, Ted Ligety, and David Wise.

Other categories include best male athlete, best coach/manager, best bowle, best comeback athlete, and best female tennis player.

Meanwhile, the dating rumors surrounding Meryl and her Dancing With the Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Maks) have died down in the past few weeks as fans have come to grips with the fact that the pair are not a real-life couple.

Despite their fervent passion on stage and even in public during the competition, Meryl and Maks seem destined to remain friends.

Maksim has been linked to Kate Upton and Jennifer Lopez recently, but former King of Queens star Leah Remini recently told Watch What Happens Live! host Andy Cohen that Lopez and Maksim “are not an item.”

“They are just friends,” she added.

Meryl and Maks will reunite on the ice later this year.
