Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy--the favorite couple from Dancing With the Stars--will reunite at an event later this year.

Meryl and Maks, as they came to be known, had such intense chemistry that many fans believed that they would start dating and then get married.

But both later indicated that the passion was for the moment, though they said they would remain friends.

Disson Skating announced that Davis and her professional figure skating partner Charlie White will headline the dance-themed show, Shall We Dance On Ice, at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Illinois in December. Tickets go on sale starting on July 11.

Chmerkovskiy and Sharna Burgess are termed as special guests, but it would be hard to believe that Meryl and Maks won’t dance together again for at least a little while, this time on figure skates.

White’s fiance Tanith Belbin and her former professional partner Ben Agosto will also be performing.

Other performers include former Olympic gold medalists and six-time French champions Marina Anissina and Fwedal Peizerat, two-time world silver medalists and Canadian champions Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon, and two-time U.S. bronze medalists Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre.

“This event will showcase a journey of dance through the ages with dancing and skating,” the company said.

“Music and special effects will create the segments of time and genre of dance, which will be performed by dancers and transition into elegant productions on the ice.”
