Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy won Dancing With the Stars season 18, and the contestants in this season will be hard-pressed to match their passion and skill.
Maks has long been known as one of the most talented dancers on the show, while Davis displayed her athleticism and grace from being an Olympic figure skater.
Fans were enamored with the couple, with dating rumors circulating quickly during and even for months after the season.
While Meryl obviously won’t be back, Maksim has also decided not to participate in season 19.
Pro Dancing With the Stars dancers Karina Smirnoff and Tony Dovolani say that Maks will be missed.
Maksim and two other judges won’t be part of this season, replaced with Keo Motsepe, Allison Holker, and Artem Chigvintsev.
“Somebody has to take over and speak the truth and what he thinks, what she thinks, because I think that was great television,” said Smirnoff.
“He for the most part what we all though and didn’t have the balls to say.”
“My favorite moment was when he said that he didn’t care for Abby Lee,” Tony added.
He also said that he would like to have Brad Pitt as his partner in the future, though he hastened to add that they’re both secure in their manhood.
Smirnoff said that she would like Shakira.
