Police searching for Melissa Sowders found a dead body in Cypress Creek on Thursday.
Sowders disappeared around noon on December 26 in Harris County, Texas.
Police believe she was murdered.
The body was found by a team of volunteers and police officials, KHOU reported.
Family members earlier indicated they suspect Sowder’s ex-husband, who she was scheduled to meet with before she vanished, was involved in her disappearance.
