Melissa Robideaux, 29, was identified as the victim in a hit-and-run case in Aurora, Colorado, over the weekend

Robideaux was fatally struck by a vehicle on Sunday, according to a news release from police, reported the Denver Post.

She was found after 10:15 p.m. and was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

There are no witnesses in the case, police said.

Reggie Booker, a local, told The Denver Channel that he saw the victim when she was dying.

“It’s real sad. (I) tried to comfort her,” he said.
