First Lady Melania Trump looked stunning wearing a baby blue cocoon sleeve dress to welcome Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife at the White House today.

Trump’s latest ensemble is a nod to her guests with her opting for a tailored dress from the Australian label, Scanlan Theodore. The dress features a thin v-neck, a waist belt, and a modest, but figure-hugging pencil skirt. She wore a pair of animal print stiletto pumps to complete her look.

The first lady is known for her ability to practice sartorial diplomacy. Back in June, she paid homage to London by wearing a silk midi dress from Gucci featuring illustrations of iconic locations in London, including the Big Ben and London Bridge, for the UK state visit.

During the welcoming ceremony, both President Donald Trump and Morrison spoke about the two nations’ “mateship” and military and economic bonds. The ceremony included Marine Band performances of the national anthem of both countries and a 19-gun salute and inspection of troops.

“With incredible optimism and grit, our forefathers built homes and nations in lands of endless beauty and possibility. Together, we share common customs, common values, common dreams, and common heroes,” Trump said during his speech.

“Together, our people have laid down their lives to protect our civilization from tyranny. We have pioneered some of the most remarkable advances in human history. And every shared endeavor, we have shown the world what it truly means to be friends, mates, and allies,” he later said.

Morrison said in his speech that Australia shares the same “truths and traditions” as the United States and sees the world through the same lens.

“From the cornfields of Hamel, to the jungles of Southeast Asia and the Pacific, to the dust of Tarin Kowt, and now, even the waters of the Straits of Hormuz, Australians and Americans continue to stand together,” Morrison said.

“The world is a better place because of this country living out its moral purpose—a world not just more secure, but more prosperous as well,” he said.

Trump and Morrison participated in a day filled with meetings and a joint press conference later in the day. They will then meet again in a lavish state dinner, the second one of Trump’s presidency.
