Megan Welter, cheerleader with the Arizona Cardinals whose also an Iraq War veteran, was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend.

Welter was recently the subject of a widely read report about her service in the Iraq War before she joined the Cardinals.

Fox-10 in Phoenix reported that Welter, 29, was arrested July 20 with allegedly assault, criminal damage, and disorderly conduct.

Welter allegedly told police that she and her boyfriend went to a bar to celebrate her birthday after dating around six months.

They then argued about past relationships and the police report says that “Welter hit, scratched and pulled the hair of her unidentified boyfriend,” according to Fox.

Welter called the cops to report the incident but when police arrived, her boyfriend disputed her claim, showing them a cell-phone video of the fight.
