Meadow Walker, Paul Walker’s 15-year-old daughter, is “heartbroken and grieving” but also “showing an incredible amount of strength,” a source close to the family said.
The source, who spoke to Hollywood Life, said that Meadow is staying strong through the tough times following Paul’s death on November 30.
Everyone is amazed by how strong she is. Her family is all focused on looking after her and protecting her, but she’s actually helping them,“ the source said. ”She has a very strong spirit, just like Paul, and it’s been a huge blessing for everyone to have her close.”
Paul died in a car crash after he and friend Roger Rodas left an event that was a fundraiser for their charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
The charity sends small but highly mobile teams to help after disasters, such as the recent typhoon in the Philippines.
Meadow wants to continue the charity work, the source said.
“She’s already talking about how she wants to honor her dad by making sure that his charity keeps going,” the source said. “That’s his legacy and the thing that he was most proud of, besides Meadow, so she’s really committed to making sure it lives on.”
Meadow hasn’t been seen in public much since the sudden death, and doesn’t have any profiles on social media websites. Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, Paul’s girlfriend, has also been staying out of sight since the death.
A funeral is planned for this weekend at Forest Lawn cemetery in Hollywood Hills, California. Only family and “Fast & Furious” crew are invited.
