Plenty of World Cup commercials have huge budgets, huge stars, and huge special effects. But it’s a modest ad shot on the streets with no special effects might be the most impressive. “That’s right. No special effects!” exclaims Markham. This McDonald’s World Cup spot shows a series of people making trick shots that might be too incredible to be true. Like off a wall into a laundry basket on a moving elevator.
But even though the ad recalls previously digitally enhanced ads, a spokesperson from the ad agency that no CGI was used and all the shots are real.
