“Mass Effect 4”--if that is what the next game is called--is still in progress of being made, BioWare confirmed a few days ago.
BioWare hasn’t given out many updates on the next “Mass Effect” game.
According to GameRanx, Aaryn Flynn--manager for BioWare’s Edmonton and Montreal studios--issued a statement via Twitter on how fast time has gone between “Mass Effect 3” and now. The third game was said to be final installment of the franchise, meaning that another “Mass Effect” game will not follow the same storyline.
Flynn wrote: “Two years to the day since we launched Mass Effect 3. Time flies. Can’t wait to get everyone back to that universe.”
However, the game developer has not released really any concrete details about the game, other than it’s being worked on and playable.
Producer Yanick Roy also apologized for a lack of information surrounding the game.
“I apologize for not having any new info on the next Mass Effect for you. It’s because our focus is on doing it right over doing it fast!” he wrote on Twitter earlier this month.
