Marion Christoper Barry, the son of current Washington D.C. Councilman and former mayor Marion Barry, was arrested earlier this month and charged with a DUI and possession of marijuana, it was reported on August 28.

Barry, 33, is scheduled to appear in Hampton General District Court on Nov. 13 after being arrested shortly after 9 p.m. on August 16 during a traffic stop, reports the Washington Post.

Police said the gray Chrysler PT Cruiser was being driven erratically and found what they suspect is marijuana both on Barry and in the car.

Barry was charged with possession of marijuana and synthetic marijuana and driving while under the influence, reports NBC.

He was convicted of possessing PCP and marijuana in 2011, after which he was sentenced to 18 months of probation.

Barry was released on personal recognizance.
