Mario Armando Ramirez-Trevino, a ranking member of the Gulf Cartel in Mexico, was captured.

CBS News confirmed on Saturday that Ramirez-Trevino was taken by authorities.

Spanish language news sit Milenio.com reported that he was captured by the army and navy in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas state. He was arrested at around 10 a.m. in Rio Bravo.

Ramirez-Trevino, known as “El Pelon” or “X-20,” is one of the most wanted cartel leaders by the U.S. State Department. It issued a $5 million reward for his capture.
