Mario Cuomo, the former governor of New York, has died at 82.
Reports were coming in on his death on Thursday night.
His family confirmed his death with CNN. He was hospitalized recently with a heart condition.
Cuomo was the governor of New York for three terms, starting from 1983 to 1995
He leaves behind his wife of many years, Matilda Cuomo, and six children. They are current New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Chris Cuomo, Margaret I. Cuomo, Maria Cuomo Cole, Margaret Cuomo, and Madeline Cuomo.
