Manny Pacquiao could be fighting Amir Khan in the future, according to several reports.

Khan spoke with two publications, saying that if he were to fight the Filipino boxer, it would be 50-50.

“Manny has big problems with good boxers. I know because I’ve sparred with him myself,” Khan told BoxingNews24. “He has problems with a good boxer who has a very good jab, and who moves great. I’m very big for the weight, because I’m tall, a lot taller than Manny Pacquiao. We’ve got power as well at this weight. Manny Pacquiao is a southpaw, and I can deal with southpaws. It would be a good 50-50 fight.”

Khan and Pacquiao had trained together before, with BoxingNews saying YouTube sparring videos indicate Khan would do quite well against Pacquiao.

Khan says the fight would make for a great storyline, according to BoxingScene.com. “What a great story line it would make [Khan vs. Pacquiao],” Khan said. “We used to spar together, we had the same trainer, and there is a lot of history there. A little more technical and more defensive. Before I was just like Manny Pacquiao, all offense.”

Khan’s comments come as Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum said Pacquiao has a wealth of opponents to chose from.

The talent pool, he said, is “larger than before” for Pacquiao. And according to Ring TV, unbeaten Chris Algieri could be a possibility.

“We want the fight, we'd love the fight, but ultimately, the decision is up to Manny,” said his promoter, Joe DeGuardia. “There are a lot of possibilities, and a rematch is one of them. But the No. 1 priority would be a fight with Manny Pacquiao, because that’s the biggest mountain to clime at this point.”

Khan also said he’s open to a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“I am looking at the likes of (Juan Manuel) Marquez and Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather – they are the big names and that is where I belong fighting the top guys. There are talks about Manny Pacquiao happening in the future – may be next. So I have left my team, Al Haymon and my team Khan Promotions to do everything,” he told Sky Sports.

The fight will happen eventually.

“The fight between me and Floyd Mayweather is going to happen one day. As long as I keep winning and putting on great performances, it is definitely going to happen. But I cannot do September because of Ramadan. The next time that it could happen is in May. I can fight then so it could be Floyd’s next fight after September,” he continued.
