Scaffolding in Midtown Manhattan in New York City have collapsed on Friday, injuring several people, according to preliminary reports.

ABC-7 in New York reported at 10:20 a.m. that scaffolding had come down, but did not elaborate where.

Early reports say that three people have been injured.

The New York Daily News reported that scaffolds came down at 7th Avenue and W. 40th Street.

The high winds that swept across the city may have contributed to the collapse.
