One man was shot and killed at the Play Atlantis amusement center in Melvindale, Michigan, according to reports on Saturday.

The Detroit Free Press reports that a 45-year-old man was shot in the head around 7 p.m. local time following a dispute. The cause of the altercation is not clear, Lt. Dan Jones with the Melvindale Police told the paper.

According to the News Herald, the victim was celebrating a 1-year-old’s birthday.

Witnesses who were in the center told police there were two separate parties going on at the same time. A fight broke out among two men, one from each party. One of the men exited the building and came back with a gun before shooting the victim, police said.

The unnamed victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police were “working on” arresting a suspect on Saturday night, Jones added.

Police described the shooter a black man who is in his early 20s. He’s 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs between 170 and 190 pounds.

Play Atlantis has go-karts, arcade games, laser tag, as well as mini-golf, according to the center’s website.

Melvindale is a suburb of Detroit with a population of around 11,000.
