PACOIMA, Calif.—A 20-year-old man was killed and a 19-year-old woman is in critical condition Aug. 17 after a drive-by shooting in Pacoima.

The shooting was reported at 6:51 p.m. Aug. 16 and Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the 13000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard south of the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway where they learned the victims were sitting in their parked car when another vehicle drove up alongside them and fired at them multiple times, officer Tony Im told City News Service.

The victims drove to a Los Angeles Fire Department Fire station and paramedics took them to a hospital, where the man died of his injuries.

The woman was in critical condition, Im said.
