GARDEN GROVE—A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Garden Grove, police said Feb. 16.

The crash was reported about 10:20 p.m. Feb. 15 on West Street, south of Dunklee Lane, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

“A blue Chevrolet Corvette was witnessed veering into the lanes of oncoming traffic, which caused a broadside collision with a white Buick that was traveling northbound on West Street,” police said in a statement.

“All parties involved in the collision were transported to UCI Medical Center due to the severity of their injuries,” police said. “A 22-year-old male passenger, who was sitting in the front seat of the Corvette, was later pronounced deceased.”

The name of the fatally injured man was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

“This incident is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and if drugs or alcohol impairment was a factor,” police said.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 714-741-5823.
