Man Found Shot to Death in Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—An investigation was continuing Dec. 6 into the fatal shooting of a man in Huntington Beach.

Officers went to the 5200 block of Tasman Drive about 8 p.m. Dec. 5 on a report of possible shots fired, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

“On arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult male with a gunshot wound,” police said in a statement. “The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

The victim was identified as Jimmy Sengpaseuth, 31, of Los Angeles, according to Orange County sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Steinle.

“The suspect is unidentified and remains at large,” police said. “The investigation into motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation; however, during the preliminary investigation, detectives have reason to believe there is no threat to the public and that this was an isolated incident.”
