A man who was fired from his job at a tractor business in Houston returned to the company with a gun and killed a co-worker before committing suicide.
Authorities were called to the scene after reports of an active shooter in a building that was near multiple schools.
The incident took place 25 miles west of downtown Houston.
The man went home after being fired on Wednesday morning and retrieved a gun to commit the “retaliatory act,” the police said, according to the Washington Post.
A shotgun and a pistol was used by the man, who had shot at multiple employees at Knight Transportations. The police entered the building, they found an employee’s dead body and the shooter’s body nearby.
