ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Authorities say a man has died after a fire broke out at a Rochester home located next door to a fire house.

Officials say firefighters responded to a home on Grover Street just after 1 a.m. Monday. Firefighters at the fire house located on an adjacent property noticed the blaze.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a 56-year-old man on the home’s second floor. He died after being taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Officials say he was the only person in the home at the time. His name hasn’t been released.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
