News broke from many news outlets this morning that Auburn freshman tight end Jakell Mitchell had been killed in a shooting at an off-campus party just following midnight.
Over 14 hours later, WSFA reports that Markale Hart of Camp Hill, AL has been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting death of Mitchell.
The apartment where the shooting took place is noted for being the same apartment complex where Auburn players Lararious Phillips and Ed Christian lost their lives in a similar shooting that took place in the summer of 2012.
Desmonte Leonard was the man identified as the shooter in the 2012 shooting, and he has since been found guilty of three counts of capital murder.
