A Redwood City man has been arrested in connection with several crimes related committing lewd acts with minors.
Angel Leopoldo Gutierrez Monney, 31, was arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a child under 14 years old, sending harmful material to a minor, and contacting a minor with intent to commit a felony, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sept. 4, a concerned citizen called the sheriff’s office to report a possible child predator who reportedly had inappropriate behavior with juveniles.
Deputies said the suspect, identified as Monney, was employed as a ride-share driver and a part-time babysitter through a childcare website.
Investigators were able to identify several young boys under the age of 14 as victims of various sex crimes, and Monney was subsequently arrested.
