Reed Fletcher, 22, was arrested for assault and battery after he allegedly started a bloody fight at a college football game in North Carolina on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The fight broke out in the stands during the ACC Championship game between Clemson University and University of Miami at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

A video of the fight was captured and posted on Facebook by Corey Washington, an attendee from South Carolina.

The video starts with a pile of three or four men trying to grab each other. Another man is seen jumping in and delivering several punches to a man who appears on the ground. Then one of the men in the pileup, possibly Fletcher, grabs the man on top of him by the torso and throws him over his head. The flung man recovers with blood on his face and apparently tries to engage the man who’s thrown him. Meanwhile, other people in the crowd try to keep the men apart and pacify them.
Fletcher was identified as the primary aggressor, the department’s spokesperson Keith Trietley said, The Daily Mail reported.

Jail records of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office show Fletcher was detained on Sunday at 12:29 a.m. and released about two hours later on bond.

One of the videos of the fight was shared over 14,000 times and viewed over 1.6 million times on Facebook. Top comments decried the immaturity and classlessness of the men involved.

“UFC or football? I can’t tell!” one person commented.

The game ended with Clemson beating Miami 38-3.
