More than half all Americans say they support the way President Donald Trump handled the historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12, according to an opinion poll by Reuters/Ipsos released on June 13.
Trump and Kim concluded the meeting by signing a joint statement, which states that the two leaders would work to achieve lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula and that Kim is committed to complete denuclearization. Six out of 10 Americans said they either believe that the leaders would follow through on their promises or are still unsure.
