There are reports of a shooting inside the Magnolia Mall in Florence, S.C., according to reports on Friday night.

At least one person was shot.

The victim was identified as a 24-year-old man who was shot following a confrontation, local reports said.

 

According to SCNow.com:

The gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital, and Raines said he did not know the exact status of the victim.

The large presence of law enforcement agencies spent much of their time working to clear the mall and ensure the public’s safety, [Major Carlos Raines with the Florence Police Department] said.

There were hundreds of people inside the mall at the time of the incident.

Witnesses say many panicked and tried to get out the mall because they heard the shots fired.

Police shut down the mall shortly after the shooting. Then quickly begin evacuating it.

At this time police say there are no arrests.
